1) Cross the river

Need:
- 3 pieces of paper for each team.
- Some tape to mark out a ‘river’

Play:
- Mark out a ‘river’ with two pieces of tape. Make it as wide as possible.
- Divide your group into 2 or more teams (maximum ten per per team).
- Give each team 3 pieces of paper.
- Tell them that only one team member at a time may stand on a piece of paper.
- They must use the three pieces of paper to cross the ‘river’
- If any member of their team steps on the ‘river’ they are out.
- If any member of a team interferes with the other teams at all they are out.
- The team to get the most team members over to the other side without being out wins.
- If both teams get the same number of members safely accross then the quickest team wins.

2) Human Knot

Need: Just a group of people – minimum number of 5. If you have more than about 12 you may want to consider having 2 teams to compete against each other.

Play:
- Get everyone to stand in a circle and close their eyes.
- Everyone must put both their hands into the middle of the circle and link hands with someone else.
- Everyone then opens their eyes and without letting go of any of the links must sort themselves out back into a circle.
